The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) is a national organization promoting counselling and psychotherapy and its necessity to mental health and well-being for Canadians.
CCPA advocates for the highest standards of practice, provides services to members, and governs ethical conduct.
CCPA's mission:
1. Promote therapy:
CCPA increase awareness of what is counselling and psychotherapy, advocate and inspire the public for professional advancement and connect therapists to clients. CCPA is a community player in connecting Canada internationally.

CCPA sets standards of practice and ethics for counselling and psychotherapy, offering professional certifications like the Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Canadian Certified Supervisor (CCS). To practice, CCPA members must adhere to ethical guidelines, be culturally sensitive, conduct inclusive practices, have a certain level of education, hours of direct client training under an approved advisor.
3. Providing Services to Members:
CCPA offers a resources, professional development, networking, and liability insurance. CCPA inspire members to connect with peers and stay informed about the latest developments in the field.
