 The CPA's mission is multifaceted and includes: 

Advancing psychological science: 

Inspiring research, knowledge, and the applying core and advanced psychological principles. 
CPA meets impossible deadlines and publishes multiple times a year, academic, peer reviewed publications.

Promoting excellence and innovation: 

CPA fosters innovation in psychological research, education, and practice. 
CPA governs credentialing standards for educational schools in Canada.

Providing high-quality services: 

CPA strives to provide valuable services to its members,
connecting the public with its members, safely, easily.

Serving the public: 

The CPA protects the well-being of Canadians by advocating the necessity psychology and self-directed healing.

Fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive profession: 

The CPA commits to promoting diversity and inclusion within the field of psychology.  

Supporting reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples: 

The CPA commits to accountability and supporting Indigenous knowledge and practices.
